Areas north of Creighton, La Ronge and Cold Lake are looking at below-average run-off levels this spring.
That’s the word from Saskatchewan’s Water Security Agency (WSA), whose prediction was recently reported
by the StarPhoenix.
Across Saskatchewan as a whole, the WSA projects a near-normal spring run-off.
“Obviously it’s still early and a few good dumps of snow could change things, but the words ‘cautiously optimistic’ are on high rotation at the WSA,” reports the StarPhoenix.
As the WSA’s Patrick Boyle told the newspaper, “the majority of our snowfall is generally yet to come – as much as everybody hates to hear that.”
