Harlequin Enterprises, a leading publisher of women's fiction, and the W Network, Canada's No. 1 specialty television network for women, have joined forces to give Canadian viewers a sneak peek into the romantic lives of everyday people. Premiering Friday, September 5th and airing for 13 episodes, W Network's Living Romance invites viewers to experience life as a romantic adventure. Each week the show explores topics ranging from romantic getaways and fresh dating ideas, to luxurious lingerie and wonderful weddings. Harlequin's Great Love Stories, a regular feature segment of Living Romance, highlights the romantic stories of everyday people, showing that romance can bloom in the unlikeliest of places. From the 80-year old couple who married after their spouses had passed away, to the high school sweethearts celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, segments focus on couples whose unions are extraordinary and sure to inspire viewers. "Women want to see romance that reflects the reality of contemporary relationships. W Network programming like Living Romance, as well as Harlequin's fiction, have embraced this trend towards 'romancing' the everyday," said Harlequin Publisher and CEO Donna Hayes. "Teaming up with Harlequin to bring inspirational love stories to our viewers is a perfect love match. W Network knows and understands women want romance in their lives and Harlequin is a leader in women's fiction," says Wendy Montgomery, VP and General Manager for W Network. "Living Romance offers viewers an A to Z guide on the art of romance and matters of the heart." Living Romance hosts Jonathan Torrens (Trailer Park Boys) and Ramona Milano (Due South) will also bring Harlequin's famed Romance Report to life, taking it to the streets to gauge Canadians' opinions on a variety of topics such as public displays of affection, celibacy and commitment. Now in its 15th year, Harlequin's annual Romance Report has become a measure of the country's romantic pulse.
