The deadline is fast approaching for residents hoping to buy a lot out at the lake. Interested residents have until this Friday, Oct. 22, to put their name in a lottery to buy one of ten lots outside Flin Flon or one of the 49 lots available in Cranberry Portage. "I think they'll get a good response, but it's not like there's going to be a mass exodus out to the lakes," said Flin Flon City Coun. Cal Huntley. Here is a breakdown of what is available in the Flin Flon-Cranberry Portage area: Three newly developed lots in the northwest region of Lake Athapapuskow, in the Boathouse Bay Subdivision A, for $28,000 each. Five newly developed lots on Lake Athapapuskow in the Sally Road Subdivision. Four of the lots cost $24,000, the fifth $35,000. One lot at Big Island Lake (northwest region) for $5,000. One lot at Millwater (on Lake Athapap) for $5,000. Forty-nine newly developed lots on the east arm of Lake Athapapuskow at Cranberry Portage for $14,000 apiece.
