The Reminder's Gail Baker has turned her popular weekly feature Looking Back into a book ? and just in time for the holidays. Looking Back: Into the Hearts and Memories of Flin Flonners includes 53 articles detailing the fascinating and eventful lives of longtime area residents. Complete with historical photos, the 118-page book features the stories behind such familiar names as Ma Crerar, the Floch sisters, Gordon Mitchell, Vic and Ann Pettersen, and Lew and Billie Parres. Copies of the book are now available for $19.95 (plus tax) at The Reminder office, 10 North Ave. People who have already ordered their copies may now pick them up. For every copy sold, $1 will be donated to the Rotary Club's seniors housing project. The Looking Back series began in The Reminder in 2003.
