On Thursday, December 2, the Christmas season officially began in Creighton with the lighting of the "tree" in front of the CREDO office with about 50 people in attendance. Cindy Davis, the recreation director for Creighton, welcomed everyone and then Mayor Bruce Fidler said a few words wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Then the Reverend Ina Golaiy gave the Christmas Blessing. Afterwards everyone went over to the Creighton Community Hall for free hot dogs and hot chocolate. The kids played games while waiting for Santa's visit. There were about 100 people who turned up at the hall.
