Flin Flon RCMP are advising caution when it comes to letters promising recipients an unclaimed trust of over $1 million. Letters from a group called BBC Holdings Ltd. have been appearing in local mailboxes stating that the addressee has won an unclaimed trust of US$1.2 million. The group said it deals with unclaimed trusts and inheritances, as well as British bonds. The second page of the letter asks for personal information, but police advise against providing such details. Police remind the public that offers that sound too good to be true, probably are. RCMP recommend people who are unsure about a letter they have received to contact Phone Busters, which investigates suspicious offers, at 1-888-495-8501.9/24/2004
