The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 73 has donated a suction unit to the Northern Lights Manor. Valued at approximately $2,000, the machine is used in emergency situations when a resident has difficulty swallowing or is choking. The Legion purchased the mobile unit with money raised through its Poppy Fund. Posing with the unit are (front, l-r) Legion members and Manor residents Victor Pettersen and Tony Pabianek; and (back) Legion president Bob Penner, first vice-president Jack Rigby, service officer Alex Graham and past-president Grant Adams.
