We can learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are dull, some have weird names, some are pretty and all are different colours but they all live in the same box. An exasperated mother, whose son was forever getting into mischief finally asked him, "How do you expect to get into Heaven?" The little boy thought it over and then replied, "Well I'll run in and out and in and out and keep slamming the door until St. Peter says, "For heaven's sake Johnny come in or stay out!" You realize you are a Mom when: - you get so into crafts that you contemplate writing a book called: "101 fun crafts to do with dryer lint and eggshells" - you spend half an hour searching for your sunglasses only to have your teenager say.... "Mom, why don't you wear the ones you pushed up on your head?" - you are out for a nice romantic dinner with your husband enjoying some real adult conversation, when suddenly you realize that as you are talking you have reached over and are carefully cutting up his steak! I was on a health food kick over the summer and my diet consisted of herbs, vitamins and assorted garden greens with some fresh garlic at bedtime. I asked my husband if he objected to kissing me at the end of the day. "Not at all," he replied. "It is kind of like going to bed with a caesar salad!" My kids and I were on our way to visit some relatives in Ontario when I stopped at a drive-thru bank machine to get some extra cash. My four year-old son watched in awe as the $20 bills came shooting out. "Mom," he exclaimed, "If you die can I have that card? puleese!" The fact is: - The moisture that is on the tip of a dog's nose helps the dog detect odours. - Border Collies are the most intelligent breed of dogs. - Nose prints re used to identify dogs, similarly as humans use fingerprints. - An average city dog lives approximately three years longer than an average country dog. - Bloodhounds have been used as tracking dogs since the 1600s. - Dalmatian puppies doe not have spots when they are born but develop them as they grow. - The largest dog in the world is the Irish Wolfhound. Don't you feel better knowing all this information! Have a great weekend!
