Flin Flon City Council gave third and final reading to a variation order during their regular meeting on Tuesday, which officially cleared the way for the completion of the construction phase at the Flintoba Shopping Centre site. According to the variation order, three commercial buildings will be built on the piece of land located at the north end of the Wal-Mart parking lot. This land, that was once a rock ridge, has recently been leveled to make way for the construction projects. It has been confirmed that a clothing store, Mark's Work Warehouse, will be one of the new businesses built at this site. An A&W restaurant may be a second business, although this has not been confirmed. The third building will be a multi-purpose retail building which would offer space for lease, with offices possibly located in a second storey. A spokesperson for Kraft Construction who is developing the property, has said that construction on all three buildings would get underway this summer and would be completed before the new year.
