A passerby waded into Ross Lake Monday morning to help pull an injured elderly man to safety, Flin Flon RCMP report. The man fell into the water after tripping, and was unable to make his way to shore because of a leg injury he suffered in the fall, police said. An ambulance crew took the man to hospital around 11:30 a.m. Monday. "He was fine other than he was cold," said Staff Sgt. Len Hordijk. The man was in the water for about 20 minutes before another man noticed him and stopped to help, noted Staff Sgt. Hordijk. The man had fallen in near the section of Flinty's Boardwalk where the wooden walkway becomes a trail, north of Stittco Energy Ltd.
