Jurors have entered deliberation in the trial of a man accused of murdering a Flin Flon woman more than three years ago.
James Desmarais, 48, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Raylene Dawn Grant, 21.
The trial is taking place in The Pas. A jury was selected last week, and evidence was brought forth this week.
RCMP said Grant was found deceased in a room at the Royal Hotel on Nov. 1, 2011. Desmarais was arrested and charged with murder shortly after, and has been in custody ever since.
Both Grant and Desmarais were residents of Flin Flon. Police said they were known to each other.
It is not known when the jury will reach its verdict.
