Jonathon Naylor Editor Two Ecole McIsaac School students are invited to a showcase of some of Canada's brightest young minds. Isaac Jays and Savanna Jays-Smale are eligible to attend the Canada-Wide Science Fair this May. Their science fair project, titled Regular Pop vs. Diet Pop, was a hit at the Northern Manitoba Regional Science Fair this past weekend. The project took Gold in the Grade 8 Health Science category and is now eligible for the national fair to be held in Lethbridge, Alberta. More than a dozen Flin Flon students were honoured at the regional fair, held in Thompson. Other local winners at the regional level were: Brandon Kolt and Austin Dubreuil, Warriors vs. Worriers (Silver, Grade 8 Health Science) Jordan Reykdal and Cole Reierson, Colour Confusion (silver, Grade 8 Life Science) Brett Kostuchuk, Copper Plating (Silver, Grade 7 Physical / Environmental Science) Abby Janz and Julie Finnie, Taste or Appearance (Silver, Grade 7 Life Science) Kalena Kittle, Drag Racing( silver, Grade 7 Math, Physics and Engineering) Logan Sapergia-Green, Do Heavier People Have More Fun? (Gold, Grade 6 General Science) Mia Armstrong and Allysa Richard, Glowmania (Silver, Grade 6 General Science) Chloe Reitlo, How Much Chlorine are you Drinking? (Silver, Grade 5 General Science and the Future Prospect Scientist Award)
