Good news, music lovers! The NorMan Jazz Festival takes place this Saturday, Oct. 27, and Sunday, Oct. 28 at Hapnot Collegiate. Local band students, as well as those from The Pas and Thompson, will work with clinicians from Brandon University and the University of Manitoba. The workshops will conclude with a concert to be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Hapnot gym. Students get in free but there is a small charge for adults. Organizers encourage the public to support school band programs while enjoying what promises to be some great jazz music.
