The fireworks were a few hours away, but that was no reason to postpone the fun. In conjunction with the Trout Festival, the Kinette Club hosted its Kinette Family Fun Night at Kin Park the evening of Sunday, June 30. Dozens of kids, parents and babysitters stopped by during the three-hour event for games such as parachute ball and the beanbag toss. For those with a sweet tooth _ and what child doesn't fit into that category? _ there was fresh, fluffy cotton candy for sale. 'It was a pre-fireworks event just for families to come out and get into Kin Park and have some fun,' said club member Corinne Mathews. The evening raised a small amount of funds for the Kinettes, but the real goal was to give back to the community.
