An introductory evening will kick off The Flin Flon Alliance Church’s winter Alpha programwhich will run this winter.
The dinner party provides a no-obligation opportunity for interested participants to determine whether they would like to take the course. The evening is free, and the course is open to everyone.
Almost a million people in Canada have taken the Alpha course and more than 24 million have taken part in the course worldwide. The course gives people a chance to explore the spiritual side of life, to share their own thoughts and ask questions. Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Each session looks at a different question and is designed to create conversation. There is no pressure, no follow-up, and no charge. The course creates an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions, including “Why are we here?” “Is there more to life than this?” “If God is a loving God why do so many bad things happen?”
