John and Louise Ivanchuk were hard workers, loved the outdoors and spent part of their lives in Flin Flon. Other than that, little seems to be known about the couple, who founded Reindeer Lake Lodge in northeastern Saskatchewan in 1956.
Now Wanda Woycenko is hoping to learn more about the Ivanchuks.
She and husband David, the new owners of the lodge, are reaching out to Flin Flon area residents who might have photos or more details about the Ivanchuks.
Woycenko says the Ivanchuks by all accounts lived in Flin Flon during the lodge’s offseason, but she doesn’t know for how long. She also knows that John Ivanchuk was a commercial angler.
She does not know who owned the lodge, located near Southend, Saskatchewan, after the Ivanchuks.
