The words of area writers will be celebrated at an upcoming book launch.
On Saturday, Feb. 20, the Flin Flon Public Library will host the launch of Words on the Rocks, a recently published collection of works by local writers.
The collection features varied works of poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction by 21 local contributors.
The book was published by the Flin Flon Writers Guild, with member Alex McGilvery leading the project.
“The book began as a community project to encourage novice as well as other writers to contribute and get their work published,” said Harry Hobbs, treasurer of the guild.
The book launch will begin at 12:30 at the library, and is open to everyone.
