The yurts at Bakers Narrows Provincial Park will allow dogs and cats at no extra charge this summer.

The hut-like camping structures are on a list of pet-friendly provincial park cabins and yurts released this week by the provincial government.

“We know Manitoba families love their pets and consider them a member of the family,” said Conservation Minister Gord Mackintosh.

Pet owners are reminded to keep control of their animals at all times and to pick up after them. Failure to do so can result in penalties such as a $203.80 fine.
