RCMP in the northern Manitoba community of Shamattawa have made an arrest in a homicide.
On Wednesday, Feb. 4, Shamattawa RCMP were called to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the community.
Officers attended and Louis Crane, 65, of Shamattawa, was found deceased inside of the residence.
RCMP have charged Frank Thomas, 38, of Shamattawa, with second-degree murder. He has been remanded in custody and was to appear in Thompson Provincial Court on Monday.
Police said the victim and the accused were known to each other.
