Submitted by Hopeful Billy In the year I have been with the SPCA, I have had several aliases. I started off as 'Highway Bill' because I was rescued as a stray on No. 10 Highway. Then came 'Big Bill' because I am so tall and lanky. Yup, that's me in the picture. Almost as tall as Carlene Nagy, but not quite as cute. I am for adoption, she's not. My biggest attribute is that I adore people. I like people better than squirrels _ what does that tell you! I have been a foster at Stillwater Kennels for awhile. I get to run free, and I never run away _ that's another good attribute! I always come when I am called. My foster mom laughs at me because I like comfort (I clued into comfy things after sleeping on her couch). When I am outside I pull the blankets from the line where they are 'airing' out and arrange them on the ground in front of the office window so I can sit and watch what is going on inside and keep my bottom warm at the same time. If there are no blankets available, I will spread the horse hay out and have a snooze on that. There's nothing dumb about me! Just taking care of myself. Another thing I like to do is go for truck rides. That is so much fun, mostly because I can snuggle up to the driver. Another name I have been called is 'Mush Mutt' because I like to snuggle so much. My foster mom says I have a dual personality. I can be a real 'man's dog'. That is, having fun out in the bush or on fishing trips, but I also like being in houses and snuggling just like a little lap dog. Take me home, and you get it all! I am always happy and have a real zest for life. Ain't much gets me down. I do have one wish though, and that is to have a family of my own. There must be someone out there who would like to have a friend like me. Sometimes, though, I think they should call me 'Lonesome Bill' because I do get a bit lonely without a special person in my life. I've got my paws crossed that someone will give the SPCA a call after they see my picture. So this is 'Hopeful Billy' signing off for now.
