When Rachel Davidson first got word that she had won a week-long cruise and other prizes worth a total of $20,000, she thought it was a joke. But there was no laughter yesterday Ñ only smiles Ñ as she and her daughters accepted their prizes: a Disney cruise in the Western Caribbean, a digital camcorder and a four-piece luggage set. "I couldn't believe I would win something like this," commented Rachel, who was the lucky winner of a promotion held at Family Foods grocery stores across Western Canada. The Flin Flonner entered the "Cruise Out A Winner!"contest at Eddie's Family Foods, one of 40 stores to run the promotion. Rachel admitted with a smile that she's "never been anywhere" and looks forward to taking the cruise with her family this January. The prize was supplied by McDonalds Consolidated, a division of Safeway Canada. In conjunction with the contest across the Family Foods chain, the local store held a draw for a DVD player worth $400. Winning that prize was Janice Szabo.
