Amid ongoing labour strife in Flin Flon and Snow Lake, Hudbay is preparing to unveil its latest quarterly results.
The company plans to issue a news release tomorrow and host a conference call Friday to announce and elaborate on the results from the first quarter of 2015.
The full impact of Hudbay’s newest operation, the Constancia mine in Peru, will not be seen in the results.
Constancia sent out its first shipment of copper concentrate on April 20, and the mine was expected to reach commercial production this month or sooner.
Hudbay turned a profit of $71.87 million in 2014 despite losing nearly $27 million through the first half of the year.
Prior to 2014, Hudbay recorded combined losses of $292.3 million in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
