Jonathon Naylor Editor HudBay is donating $150,000 to help museums in Flin Flon and Snow Lake conserve the mining company's rich past. CEO David Garofalo made the announcement last week after unveiling a new company-wide name _ HudBay _ for the former HudBay Minerals operations. Speaking at the R.H. Channing Auditorium, he said the cash will fund 'a special section' at the Flin Flon Station Museum and Snow Lake Mining Museum 'dedicated to preserving and chronicling the company's history.' Garofalo invited Lois (Bunny) Burke, curator of both museums, on stage to accept an oversized cheque to a hearty round of applause from the upwards of 500 guests on hand. Burke said the funds will establish a paper archive relative to HudBay's mining activities in the region. 'I'm really thrilled they asked us to do this,' she said.
