A recent resignation has the Flin Flon General Hospital searching for a new chief of staff. The Northern Health Region confirms that Dr. Mohinder Singh has left his post as head of the hospital. Based in Swan River, Dr. Singh became chief of staff a little over two years ago. He remains with the hospital as a physician. The NHR has named Dr. Hussam Azzam as the interim chief of staff pending the hiring of a permanent replacement. Based in Thompson, Dr. Azzam is the NHR's vice-president of medical services and chief medical officer. NHR spokesperson Glenn Hildebrand could not speculate as to when a permanent chief of staff would be named.
