The Flin Flon area is expected to receive between 50 and 70 millimetres of rain by Wednesday morning.
Environment Canada released the warning at 10:54 am Tuesday for Flin Flon, Cranberry Portage, Snow Lake, Grass River Park and Herb Landing.
“A low pressure system in southeast Saskatchewan is forecast to deepen and move northeast today,” read the warning.
“A large area of rain has developed with this system and is spreading northward. Heavy rain is expected to continue through the day before tapering off early Wednesday.”
In addition to the 50 to 70 millimetres expected, more rain could potentially follow with embedded thunderstorms.
Environment Canada said heavy rainfall could result in flash floods and water pooling on roads.
