Environment Canada is warning Flin Flon residents to be careful as temperatures will reach dangerously high levels.
The agency predicts consecutive highs of at least 29 degrees from July 22-24.
The warning says that while high heat can affect everyone, certain groups are more at-risk. Young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors should be especially careful.
"Watch for the effects of heat illness," the warning reads.
"Swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions."
Enviornment Canada gives four tips to help minimize the risk to residents.
"Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place. Check on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water. Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle. Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place."
The heat warning is expected to be in effect until the evening of July 23.
