Healthier choices fill food bank shelves

The Lords Bounty Food Bank benefited from the efforts of “Let’s Lose the Caboose” in this year’s Hudbay Wellness Challenge.

The Lords Bounty Food Bank benefited from the efforts of “Let’s Lose the Caboose” in this year’s Hudbay Wellness Challenge.

Dennis Hydamaka accepted a donation of $1,000 from Hudbay Wellness Committee member Susan Knight as well two of the four team members.

Lawrence Wheeler and Anibal Ramos Talavera were on hand for the donation, which Hydamaka graciously accepted Monday afternoon. 

 The winning team was made up of Wheeler and Talavera as well as Gavin Dayman and Louise Schollie.

This year’s Wellness Challenge ran for six weeks with participants striving to reach a healthier lifestyle with additional challenges of no red meat or junk food for a week.
