Manitoba Health is injecting more than $70,000 into Flin Flon's health care system. The provincial department has approved ten equipment expenditures for Flin Flon contained in the latest budget of the NOR-MAN Regional Health Authority, consisting of: One neonatal infant monitor for the maternity/surgical department ($25,300). One double food steamer for the dietary department ($16,200). One trauma stretcher for emergency/special care ($11,000). One dual-channel IV pump for the medical/ pediatrics/surgical unit ($4,400). One therapy table for the physiotherapy department ($3,500). One IV infusion pump for the Northern Lights Manor ($3,400). One boiler tube cleaner for the maintenance department ($3,000). Thirty sets of window coverings for the Personal Care Home and hospital ($2,600). One acquisition module, used for EKGs, for the laboratory ($2,400). Two suction machines, used to clear patients' passages, for Central Sterilizing Services ($1,700). For the entire region, Manitoba Health approved $282,000 in new equipment expenditures.
