Hapnot’s wrestling team continues to bring in praise and high finishes.

At a recent event, three grapplers placed among the top four positions in their respective weight classes. Carson Lee won the Elite 90-kilogram division, while Maguire Lee finished fourth in the Elite 77-kilogram division. Kyle Gurniak, entered in the Novice 82-kilogram division, placed fourth.

The Hapnot team will prepare for their next tournament, a regional event in Weyburn, Sask. on Mar. 2, before provincial championships at Campbell Collegiate High School in Regina, Sask. on Mar. 8 to 9.

Last year, the Hapnot team cleaned up at regionals, with Maguire Lee earning a bronze in the 69-kilogram division while Carson Lee earned gold in the 82-kilogram division. Carson, an internationally recognized wrestler who is committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies wrestling team next year, also won a provincial title last year.
