Submitted by Hapnot Collegiate November was a big month for the Hapnot Kings as they made it to the senior boys provincial final in volleyball. They lost the third game of the final match to obtain the silver. Hapnot students and teachers are extremely proud of this team, their efforts and their coaches. Sam Kinsley and Garrett Whitford were both named to the Provincial All Star team. The junior varsity girls' volleyball team also made it to their provincial championship. They won the last match of their round robin and gained valuable experience as most of the team will move up to senior next year. Currently Hapnot students are preparing for the Christmas break. The sign-ups for Xmas Xcitement have gone up and the student talent is getting ready for the big show. Xmas Xcitement this year falls on December 20 at 1:30 in the gym. Both jazz and concert band concerts took place this week. Mrs. Jones and the students work feverishly to put on a good show and they always do. As of the last school day of December, Hapnot will be losing an administrator. After 30 years in the school system, Bill Pauley (right photo) will retire as of Dec. 21. He will be missed throughout Hapnot and we wish him the best of luck. His plans are to fish and travel and fish and travel some more.
