The Equity and Social Justice group, in conjunction with the Sources of Strength group, has been busy throughout the school spreading random acts of kindness.
They made cookies and sold them to the students, and took the money to buy all of our secretaries flowers to show our appreciation. Notes were given to each student stating something kind or appreciated about them.
They also make soup once a week for the Lord’s Bounty Food Bank. They are an outstanding group of students.

Teachers have been participating in a number of professional learning opportunities over the last few weeks.
The social studies department was a part of the treaty training by the Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba. The two-day sessions were held in Cranberry Portage.
Resource teachers travelled to The Pas for the Resource Teacher Handbook workshop. We hope to utilize the additional knowledge to boost our resource help stations.
The tech department was in Thompson to participate in the keynote and tech sessions hosted by George Couros. He is an outstanding tech leader and was extremely motivational and helpful.
The tech leaders in the school division will also be travelling to the Google Summit in Edmonton later this month.
There they will sharpen their Google skills to help our school function more efficiently in the classroom and from an administrative point of view.
