The Saskatchewan Green Party has a new candidate in northeastern Saskatchewan.
Michael Lessard will carry the party banner in the Cumberland constituency. He replaces Adam Josephson, whom the party previously said would be its candidate.
“I love living in the Precambrian Shield boreal forests of northern Saskatchewan,” Lessard, who works as a courier, wrote in a message on the party website.
“I am proud to have gained the love and respect of many northern people over the last 45 years. I am a man of vision.”
The Reminder attempted to reach Lessard, and ask the Green Party about the change in candidates, but received no response by press time.
