With the school year already half over, Flin Flon's high school seniors are become more and more excited about their upcoming graduation. In the neighbourhood of 140 graduates are expected to don a cap and gown this June at the Hapnot Collegiate and Many Faces Education Centre convocations. Hapnot roughly expects just over 100 graduates this year. One major fundraiser, the Christmas Tea, took place last month. To help further fund the graduation ceremonies, students will take part in the Dinner Theatre performance in February and the Fashion Show in May. The school is in the process of accepting nominations for valedictorian, guest speaker and graduation theme. The Hapnot Collegiate graduation will take place at the Whitney Forum on Wednesday, June 29. Meanwhile, another large graduating class is anticipated at Many Faces. Between 35 and 40 students are expected to received their diplomas, though that number could increase, as more students may yet register for the second half of the school year. Students have been working at Bomber games in order to raise money for the ceremony. Upcoming fundraisers include a flea market, car wash and bake sale in the spring. They have yet to select a valedictorian or guest speaker. The Many Faces Education Centre graduation will be held Tuesday, June 28 at the R.H. Channing Auditorium.
