Snowmobiling amenities in the Thompson area were recognized as some of the best in the province in a recent survey of snowmobilers conducted by SnoRiders magazine. The Thompson and The Pas were voted the fourth-favourite scenic snowmobiling area in Manitoba, finishing behind Whiteshell Provincial Park, Nopiming Provincial Park and Pembina Valley. Thompson also offered the fourth-favourite powder riding in the province, based on readers' responses, finishing behind Steinbach, Nopiming Provincial Park and Duck Mountain. In the favourite snowmobile dealer category, Rick's Marine in Thompson was also fourth, behind Northern Rentals and Power Products in Swan River, Enns Brothers in Winnipeg and Winnipeg Sport and Leisure. The results of the 14th-annual SnoRiders Rider's Choice Awards are based on the results of surveys that were published in last season's SnoRiders magazines. _ Ian Graham, Thompson Citizen
