RCMP have deemed suspicious the sudden death of an eight-year-old girl in Pukatawagan. Last Saturday, June 29, police received a report of an unresponsive girl at a residence on the northern reserve. She was transported to the nursing station, where she was pronounced deceased. An autopsy has been completed. The cause of death will not be released at this time, nor will the girl's name. The death is being treated as suspicious. Pukatawagan RCMP, Winnipeg RCMP Serious Crime Unit, Thompson RCMP Major Crime Unit and the North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team continue to investigate.
