Jonathon Naylor Editor Just as the weather turns chillier, 10 residents and couples have a chance to escape to warmer pastures. With vacation packages to the likes of Hawaii up for grabs, the Rotary Club's Dream Draw took place last Saturday evening, Nov. 10, at the R.H. Channing Auditorium. Hillary Cooper took the top prize, a seven-night trip for two to Hawaii worth $4,500. The second prize, a trip to Jamaica valued at $4,000, went to Sandra Ward and Kirk Doverspike, while Deb Buddin is off to the Dominican Republic, a $3,500 value. Meryl Guymer will get out her sombrero in Mexico, a prize worth $3,300, while David Bryson earned an excursion to Cuba valued at $3,200. Shylo Rogers has a date with Mickey Mouse after winning the sixth prize, a $2,500 trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. New Orleans awaits Emile Hogue, the winner of a $2,400 trip to the U.S. city. Casey Crone may be hedging his bets after Lady Luck awarded him a $2,300 excursion to Las Vegas. Lori and Dave Salahub won a trip to San Francisco, a $2,200 value, while Derek Abrahamson has the chance to see Palm Springs, Florida, a $2,100 prize. All trips are for two people and include hotel, flights out of Winnipeg or Saskatoon, and meals. The top five trips are for one week, while the rest are for three days. Each winner can take the prize as is or claim 75 per cent of its cash value.
