Wal-Mart associate Kathy Lysohirka had heard that the SPCA needed help. So, being an animal lover herself, Kathy asked management if she could do a fundraiser on her birthday. On January 20th, Kathy stood at her register and asked customers for their support. Due to her good nature and determinations, Kathy was able to raise $250. The Charity committee at Wal-Mart then sent in a request to their Home Office for a matching grant in order to double Kathy's efforts. This enabled Kathy (right) to present a cheque for $500 on Friday to Debbie Hiebert, president of the SPCA. Wal-Mart is very appreciative of our customers for their generous support with our Charity Fund Raisers. With their support and the drive of our associates, we are able to support many clubs and organizations.
