Gas prices have come down nearly a dime per litre since reaching surprisingly high rates in late May. The average price of regular gas in Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach yesterday was 87.5 cents a litre. The average price on May 27 was 97.4 cents, a rate that prompted concern from some local businesses who rely on gas. That's a difference of 9.9 cents a litre, or 10 per cent. In just over a month, gas has gone down 5.5 cents, as the average price on June 15 was 93 cents. Yesterday's prices ranged from a low of 85.9 cents to a high of 88.9 cents. Crude oil prices rose to records in May amid concerns about the potential for terrorist strikes and other violence in Iraq and the Middle East.
