Band and choir students will deliver poinsettias to residents at the end of the month as part of a popular fundraiser. All proceeds from the fundraiser, called Singing Poinsettias, will help cover the costs of educational trips for band and choir students. "The fundraiser has gone very well in the past," said co-organizer Lori Lawrence. "Lots of people love to give them as gifts because it is around Christmas time." People who purchase poinsettias from the students will have the plants delivered to their doors, complete with a song from the students. This will be the fourth consecutive year of the fundraiser, an initiative of the Flin Flon and Creighton Parents for Music Education. The fundraiser averages about 120 orders each year. The deadline to place an order for a poinsettia is this Monday, November 17. The plants will be delivered on Saturday, November 29. For more information, contact Lori at 687-4997, Vi at 687-5728 or any band or choir student.
