The first dinner meeting of 2004 for the Flin Flon folks in south Texas was held on Monday, January 12 at Beto's Restaurant in Mercedes. There were 33 people in attendance with a few just visiting for a few days and others spending the winter. Norm and Gail Rudd, Glen and Lois Bryson, Mabel Parshall, Don and Murial Burnett, Marlene and Larry Kirby, Barry and Jeanette Smith, Darrel and Marlene Haubrich, Jim and Pat Karlsen, Wally and Rose Marie Ariko, Ken Cunningham, Bob McDowell, Jack Kinsley, Mike McKenzie, Dan Hamilton, Donalda Schultz, Duncan and Maureen Lunam, Orla and Joe Czettisch, Jim and Audrey Parres, Reg Luchuck, Irene Huspak, and Dave and Vera Dahl enjoyed a good visit together. Jim Karlsen was welcomed into the oldtimers club with a happy 65th birthday wish. "Happy New Year" to everyone back in the Flin and if you are coming down this way, the next meeting is the second Monday in February at Beto's at 5 p.m. Come join us.
