Jonathon Naylor Editor Four registered nurses will provide clinical leadership throughout the Northern Health Region. The NHR last month unveiled its clinical leadership team, which includes Vice President of Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer Brenda Mishak Beckman of Thompson. She is joined by three executive directors, located in each of the major centres of the region: Lois Moberly, executive director of clinical services for Flin Flon and area; Ingrid Olson, executive director of clinical services for The Pas and area; and Marion Ellis, executive director of clinical services for Thompson and area. Clinical services staff provide care in acute and long-term care settings. Working in tandem with the medical services team under the leadership of Dr. Hussam Azzam of Thompson, they deliver patient care across the full continuum of health services. 'The team brings more than 100 years of combined experience to this key service delivery role in healthcare system,' Helga Bryant, NHR CEO, said in a news release. 'Strong leadership within clinical services helps ensure success with the collaborative, team-based, interprofessional approach we strive to perfect. 'Patients benefit from highly coordinated, integrated care as they move through the healthcare system. I am confident these leaders will inspire and support the hundreds of caregivers who work tirelessly to provide the highest quality of care for northerners.'
