Jonathon Naylor Editor Flin Flon voters will get at least one chance to see their MLA candidates think on their feet. The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce is set to hold a candidates forum on Tuesday, Sept. 13. The City Hall Council Chambers has already been booked, though the precise format has yet to be determined. Typically with such events, the chamber peppers candidates with prepared questions while also allowing the public to pose their own queries. As of last Thursday, the Progressive Conservatives Ð considered highly competitive provincially but a long shot in this riding Ð still had not named a candidate for Flin Flon. The New Democrats are running retired teacher Clarence Pettersen, while the Liberals have pinned their hopes on government geologist Tom Heine. The Manitoba election will take place Tuesday, Oct. 4.
