Just as the weather turns chillier, a dozen lucky winners have a chance to escape to warmer pastures.
With vacation packages to the likes of Hawaii and Cuba up for grabs, the Rotary Dream Draw took place Tuesday, Nov. 10.
Darrel and Marlene Haubrich took the top prize, a seven-night trip for two to sunny Hawaii worth $4,500.
The second prize, a trip to Jamaica valued at $4,000, went to Derek Abrahamsom, while Patty Bloxom can get out the suntan lotion in Mexico, a $3,500 value.
Shelley LeBlanc can venture to the Dominican Republic, a prize worth $3,300. John and Karen Clark won an excursion to Cuba worth $3,200.
Pat Stevens is headed south to Florida after winning a $2,500 trek to the Sunshine State.
Disneyland awaits Terry Arnold, who won a $2,400 excursion to the famed theme park in Anaheim, California.
Lorna Quinn may be hedging her bets after Lady Luck awarded her a trip to Las Vegas worth $2,300. Deb Buddin has the chance to travel to Palm Springs, Florida, an adventure valued at $2,200.
Finally, Kelly Mansell won a trip to Phoenix, Arizona, worth $2,100.
All trips are for two people and include hotel, flights out of Winnipeg or Saskatoon, and meals. The top five trips are for one week, while the remainder are for three days.
Each winner can take the prize as is or claim 75 per cent of its cash value.
Proceeds from the draw stay with the Rotary Club of Flin Flon to benefit community projects.
