The report detailed three incidents from May:

Firefighters lowered the stokes basket using ropes and assisted the ambulance crew with patient packaging. The fire chief and 21 firefighters responded.
Priorities
Cooper listed five short-term strategic priorities:
• Auditing the department’s fire equipment, condition and serviceability.
• Adding more props to the training grounds at the city garage property to conduct hands-on training evolutions.
• Auditing the department’s training and certificates, and organizing a detailed training plan for 2016 that includes external training providers.
• Reviewing the city’s emergency response plan on forest fire emergencies, providing a more detailed response and prevention.
• Reviewing the current 911 dispatch agreement to look for improvements.
In terms of general administration, Cooper reported he is auditing the department’s paperwork, forms, fire reports and files to look for improvements, and better accountability and tracking.
