Tuesday Jan. 11 was the first Flin Flonners’ meeting of the season in Texas, so there was a lot of discussion on what happened over the summer.
At Christmastime temps were in the high 80s and 90s. Lately temps have been in the low 60s and 70s.
Our dollar is killing us right now, but hopefully that will change over time. A few people are still not here, and it is difficult to tell whether it’s the cost or other reasons.
Those attending included Ken and Jackie Highmoor; Ken and Janet Cunningham; Bill Cunningham; Pat Karlson; Larry and Marlene Kirby; Erv Ziemer; Al and Agnes Mills; Gary and Jan Salamondra; Louise Fenwick; Jack and Marlene Kinsley; Don McNeill; Ron and Marge McNeill; Ernie Krokosz; and Sue Townsend.
Our next dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 4:30 at the Fiesta Tex-Mex restaurant in Weslaco.
If you are in the area, you really should drop in. It’s quite a hoot and only takes an hour and a half of your time.
