The results are in and Flin Flon has been named Manitoba’s top snowmobiling destination in a recent online poll.
Flin Flon beat out Thompson in the fourth and final round of provincial voting in the recent SledTown Showdown survey, organized by snowmobile publication SnoRiders West.
Before reaching the final provincial round, Flin Flon topped The Pas, Gimli and Powerview-Pine Falls in voting.
Flin Flon now faces Hudson Bay, Sask. in the next stage of the contest, which pits provincial winners in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba against each other. On Dec. 15, more than 6,000 people had already voted, with Flin Flon leading the way with 56 per cent of the vote.
Tumbler Ridge, B.C. and Edson, Alta. are the other communities still in the running.
