Hapnot Collegiate student Kari Rutherford on Monday accepted a Manitoba School Boards Association (MSBA) certificate of merit from Flin Flon School Board chairwoman Trish Sattelberger. Rutherford, a Grade 12 student, was the school division’s nominee for the MSBA Student Citizenship Award and although she did not receive the award, her role-model qualities warranted the certificate of merit.
