Sabrina Clarke (left) and Sadie Eyres lit candles at Pioneer Square in memory of the 49 people who lost their lives in a mass shooting in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, June 12. More than 60 people attended the Flin Flon Stands with Florida vigil on Monday evening, with many standing up to share messages of love, grief and non-violence. Organizer Jordana Oulette invited people attending the event to meet hate with compassion, and to promote acceptance in their daily lives. “Now, more than ever, we need to have pride,” she said.
