A veteran Flin Flon school trustee hopes to become a director with the Manitoba School Boards Association (MSBA).
Trish Sattelberger will run for director of Region 4, which includes the Flin Flon region, in the March 2016 election.
At this week’s school board meeting, she received the endorsement of her fellow trustees by way of a formal motion.
“We wish you luck, Trish,” Trustee Murray Skeavington, board chair, told Sattelberger after the motion carried unanimously.
Skeavington is the current director for Region 4 but given that he has served three one-year terms, he is not permitted to seek reelection.
MSBA is an umbrella organization that works to promote and support school boards, public education and collaboration between various stakeholders in education.
