With no arrests made, Mounties continue to investigate a recent armed robbery at the Royal Hotel.

Shortly before midnight on Friday, Nov. 14, an unidentified male entered the front entrance of the downtown hotel and approached the night clerk with an undisclosed weapon.

The male demanded and received a sum of money before fleeing into the back alley. The clerk was not injured.

While the incident was captured on video surveillance, investigators have not released an image of the suspect.

If investigators find a suitable image of the suspect, it is up to them whether to release it, said RCMP spokesperson Cst. Paul Human.

Police describe the suspect as standing 5’5” to 5’6” and wearing a hooded sweater and a black bandana.
